The Waterproof D7X Nylotech Drysuit is an upgraded version of the D7 ISS Drysuit with new fabric and clever upgrades all over the suit.  Nylotech Material is both stronger and softer than the previous material and the tailoring of the suit makes it less bulky so it looks good and performs better.

Who's the D7X For?

The D7x is made for more advanced divers who need a tough but comfortable suit. Silicone seals are quick and easy to change on the dive site so you never have to miss a dive. Diving at home requires a tough suit that can keep up with you but you can still travel with the suit without adding too much weight to your bag.

Recommended Accessories

Ultima Dry Glove Rings will fit straight onto the suit so you can keep your hands dry and warm on the coldest of dives.  You'll need a good undersuit to keep you warm so look at the MeshTec or maybe a Heated Vest to keep you warm under your drysuit. If you prefer more traditional wet gloves then we like the G1 5mm Gloves, a good mix of dexterity and warmth.

Alternate Products

The D1X is similar but back entry and with a built-in undersuit. The KVR1 has unique flexibility and front zip with a Kevlar reinforced outer shell. The E.Lite+ is a very similar style but from a different brand.

Features

  • Nylotech material, softer and stronger than the previous material.
  • Anatomical sculpting, slimmer fit for a more natural ergonomic fit.
  • SiTech quick neck, softer and fast to change a silicone neck seal.
  • SiTech QCS cuffs, quick to change cuffs and fit Ultima dry glove system.
  • Dual pockets, convertible pockets can switch between slim profile or huge capacity.
  • Kevlar boot, new tougher material makes the boots last longer than previous models.
  • Telescopic torso, easier to don and doff but keeps the suit fitted to your body.
  • Long curved zipper, easier donning and doffing and better movement.
  • Plastic-free packaging, 100% plastic-free packaging in accordance with Waterproof's vision of no more plastic in the oceans.
  • Weight is approximately 7.4kg.

WaterProof D7X Nylotech Drysuit - Features

FeatureProduct Specification
Cargo Pocket(s)
?
Whether cargo pockets are fitted to the drysuit, typically to the outer thigh area. Close.
Yes
Dump Valve Type
?
Dump valves allow a diver to vent excess air from the suit to achieve the required buoyancy.

Typically two different dump valves types are available, an automatic valve mounted to the shoulder which has adjustable sensitivity, as the air pressure builds up inside the suit the valve will open at its predetermined setting to reduce the air volume.

The other dump valve is a one way valve mounted by one of the cuff seals which is operated by raising and lowering the valve to release air as required Close.
Auto Shoulder Dump
Hood Supplied
?
Whether a dedicated hood is supplied with the dry suit Close.
Yes
Inflator Type
?
An inflator valve allows a diver the add addition air into the suit to increase the buoyancy. Two generic types of inflator valve exist.

A fixed inflator valve is installed and set at a pre-determined angle. The disadvantage is that it can not be altered if you wish to route your inflator hose a different way.

A swivel inflator eliminates this problem by allowing the inflator to swivel though 360 degree, giving far more potential for hose routing. Close.
Swivel Inflator
Integrated Boots
?
Dry suits are commonly fitted with rubber boots which in some cases are also neoprene lined to increase the thermal properties. Some suits, however, are fitted with neoprene stocks so that divers are able to choose their preferred footwear such as neoprene or laced boots. Close.
Yes
Integrated Braces
?
Whether the dry suit is fitted with or is supplied with internal braces to increase the comfort of the suit. Braces help to keep excess material up around the torso area where the extra freedom of movement is required.

Braces are more likely to be found on membrane suits that have a lot more excess material due to the nature of the membrane material. Close.
Yes
Neck Seal Material
?
Seals prevent water from entering the suit and can be made from either latex or neoprene.

Latex seals are more flexible but can be easily damaged and perish over time. They can also be affected contaminants such as oil and can deteriorate if left in sunlight

Neoprene seals typically last longer but because the material is stiffer they can allow water to enter the suit as they are not able to create a seal that is as effective as latex. Close.
Silicone
Neoprene Thickness
?
The neoprene thickness in mm if applicable Close.
-
Suit Entry Type
?
The suit zip is commonly installed across the back of the shoulders, but can also be found diagonally across the front of the torso.

A rear entry zip is usually easier to get on and off but does require a buddy to initially open and close the zip.

A front entry zip allows the diver to open and close the suit zip alone without the need of assistance. The zip location and cut of the suit panels can hinder donning and doffing of the suit to some degree though. Close.
Front
Suit Material
?
Membrane suits are typically made using thin materials laminated together in layers. A membrane suit by itself provides very little thermal protection against the elements so a diver is reliant upon a seperate thermal layer to maintain body temperature. Membrane dry suits typically do not stretch, so they need to be made oversized and baggy to allow flexibility at the joints and this also makes a membrane dry suits easy to put on and get off.

Neoprene suits are made from a synthetic rubber material which contains millions of air bubbles, providing far greater thermal protection without the need for a seperate thermal layer. Additional, should the suit be punctured or torn the suit will still maintain a significant amount of its thermal properties. As the suits are made from a fairly rigid material and are designed to fit reasonably close it can be more difficult to to get on and off. Close.
Nylotech Membrane
Wrist Seal Material

Close.
