Tusa Hyflex Switch Fins are part of a new generation of fin with state of the art materials and design for the most efficient blade possible. Made with the travelling diver in mind too the blade can separate from the foot pocket so they pack down smaller.
The PuRiMaX blade system gives you a quick response to movement for full control in the water. Vortex Generating ridges on the blade below the vent reduce resistance creating a more efficient and smooth kick cycle.
The blade of the fin has a 20° angle for an efficient angle of attack and the blade is attached to an elbow so the bottom of the fin has a flat profile to make walking easier.
The Hyflex is also the first fin to be supplied with TUSA's Universal Bungee Strap that aids donning and doffing, comfort and performance. Bungee straps are much quicker and easier to put your fins on and take off and they hold a constant tension to hold your fins on. The Universal Bungee Strap is adjustable so you can tighten and loosen the strap so it's comfortable.
The modern diver is a travelling diver who dives at home and abroad but still wants to use their own gear while travelling. The Hyflex Switch is made of three components that can be separated when you need to pack them down smaller. Long weekend trips often meant you had to leave your fins behind or take a bigger bag, by separating the blades and foot pockets they become much smaller to fit in most travel bags.

?Advances in design, materials and manufacturing techniques has allowed the development of various differenet types of fin blades which control the movement of water in different ways.
More advanced blades, including split and hinged blades, can dramatically increase efficiency, helping to improve propulsion but also lower the amount of energy required to operate the finsClose

?Fins are available in two fitting types, open heel and full foot pocket.
Open Heel are typically used for scuba diving as they are able to provide better propulsion due to their increased strength and weight.
Full Foot Pocket fins are usually worn by snorkellers who produce significantly less drag when moving through the water compared to a scuba diver. As a result the fins are generally smaller and much lighter.Close
?A number of different fin strap styles can now by found on fins including the traditional adjustable rubber strap, metal spring straps and also bungee straps.
Rubber straps can be easily adjusted to suit each individual diver and are typically fitted with quick release buckles.
Spring and bungee straps are generally not adjustable and are sized to suit the fin size, however, they offer an extra level of comfort and flex better during the kick motionClose
