The TUSA Freedom Quad Mask is a mask that focuses on a panoramic view with side windows that let more light in around the sides of the mask so you can see more in your peripherals. Quality optical glass lenses have fewer impurities allowing for a better transfer of light so you can see more vibrant colours underwater.
Who's the Quad For?
The Quad can be used for snorkelling and scuba diving and is made for the diver who wants a wider field of vision in the water. Useful to keep an eye on your buddy the extra windows on the side of the mask don't tunnel your vision like a traditional mask.
The Freedom Skirt has a few upgrades on a standard mask skirt. The silicone skirt has dimples in key spots that make the skirt softer in those areas. Other areas have thicker reinforcements so the skirt is stiffer where it needs to maintain shape. Combined with a rounded skirt edge and low-friction surface makes for a comfortable skirt that seals to more face shapes while reducing pressure on your face.
The Hyperdry Elite II Snorkel is TUSA's top of the range snorkel that comes in matching colourways to the Quad and features two dry valves to keep water out so you always have a clear airway. Down one step is the Platina II Hyperdry Snorkel

TUSA Freedom Quad Mask - Features
?Some mask lenses are specially coated to improve colour / light characters. Most coatings work by reducing the amount of light that is reflected as it passes through the glass, reducing glare and reflections and improving brightness within the mask. Close.
?Masks are available with either an external (Frame) or internal (Frameless) which gives the mask it's structural strength.
Somes advantages of an external frame design are replacement of parts as the mask can usually be dismantled into its component parts and some manufacturers offer off the shelf corrective lenses which can be retro fitted.
The advantages of a frameless design are that the mask is usually of a lower profile (less internal volume) which masks clearing easier, the skirt wraps around the internal frame providing a more flexible seamless finish and the overall weight of the mask is reduced. Close.
?The main lenses are available in two different configurations, Single and Twin.
Single lens masks provide a more open vision as the frame between the centre of the eyes is removed, this also typically results in a lower profile mask.
Twin lens masks can allow for individual corrective lenses to be retro fitted, completely replacing the original lenses. Close.
?A low profile mask offers the smallest internal volume possible, making clearing easier. Close.
?Some masks allow off the shelf perscription lenses to be retro fitted to the mask, completely replacing the original lenses. Close.
?A one way purge valve can be incorporated into the frame or nose section to allow for hassle free mask clearing. The diver just needs to tilt his/her head to allow the water to flow to the valve and be purged out. Close.
?A second skirt / lip is often incorporated into a mask skirt to increase the surface area that can be used to seal the mask against the face. Close.
?Side lenses are small glass panels which provide better peripheral vision and also increase the amount of light that is able to enter the mask.
The lenses can either be fitted directly to the main lenses to offer a seamless field of view or as separate lenses built into the side of the mask frame. Close.
?The skirt is the seal around your face that stops the water from getting in. Cheaper masks will just have a Thermoplastic that will do the job but harden over time and discolour if left in the sun. Most are Silicone that are soft, create an effective seal and don't discolour quickly. The highest-grade silicone is Hypoallergenic that is purer with few impurities for a crystal-clear skirt that is soft and effective. Close.
