The Scubapro SeaWing Nova Full Foot Fins have the same hinged wing design as the open heel version. The hinge allows for the perfect angle of attack during each phase of the kick cycle, so while it may not feel like you're doing much you are shifting through the water.

The Hinged Blade has a new and improved design that has won multiple awards for it's innovation and efficiency. The winged blade pivots on the foot pockets to store energy and push you through the water. Strengthened design has been improved from years of field and laboratory testing to produce the most efficient pivot compared to previous models.

By allowing the angle between the foot pocket and the blade of the fin to change as you move your legs the blade can be almost flat and easier to walk around in and bent when you need it to for the perfect angle of attack that transfers the energy in the right direction.  While the fin will feel floppy on your foot you will move faster through the water with less energy than other fins.

  • Built with a space-age Monprene® elastomer that is virtually indestructible.
  • Ergo-fit foot pocket is low profile to prevent chafing and blistering on the ankle and Achilles tendon.
  • Extended toe box enhances comfort during extended bottom times.
  • Power Rails under the extended footplate offer efficient power transfer.
  • Proprietary G4 articulated joint allows the entire blade to pivot and generate thrust.
  • Wing-shaped blade creates a near-perfect balance of stiffness and flex.
  • Variable Blade Geometry wing tips arc upwards, providing more power and increasing stability.
  • Pivot Control Technology ensures that the most efficient 45º angle of attack is maintained no matter how easy or hard you kick.
  • A well-engineered heel pad, mid-sole pad, and rough surface design provide a dependable grip on slippery boat decks or dive ladders.

Scubapro SeaWing Nova Full Foot Fins - Features

FeatureProduct Specification
Blade Type
?
Advances in design, materials and manufacturing techniques has allowed the development of various differenet types of fin blades which control the movement of water in different ways.

More advanced blades, including split and hinged blades, can dramatically increase efficiency, helping to improve propulsion but also lower the amount of energy required to operate the fins. Close.
Hinged
Foot Type
?
Fins are available in two fitting types, open heel and full foot pocket.

Open Heel are typically used for scuba diving as they are able to provide better propulsion due to their increased strength and weight.

Full Foot Pocket fins are usually worn by snorkellers who produce significantly less drag when moving through the water compared to a scuba diver. As a result the fins are generally smaller and much lighter. Close.
Full Foot Pocket
Quick Release Buckle
?
Quick release buckles aid fitting and removal of the fins by allowing rapid fitting and release of the fin strap.

Rather than having to loosen the fin strap off before pulling it over your heel to remove the fin, the quick release buckle allows you to disconnect the strap and slide your foot straight out. Close.
No
Strap Type
?
A number of different fin strap styles can now by found on fins including the traditional adjustable rubber strap, metal spring straps and also bungee straps.

Rubber straps can be easily adjusted to suit each individual diver and are typically fitted with quick release buckles.

Spring and bungee straps are generally not adjustable and are sized to suit the fin size, however, they offer an extra level of comfort and flex better during the kick motion. Close.

Great choice!

Had been looking for fins that are short and light enough to fit into a regular suitcase (not a big dive bag) as I travel often. Small fins are usually not very stiff and useless in strong currents and rough waters but these worked out to be perfect. Great for snorkelling and stiff and responsive enough for diving in strong currents. Very happy with this purchase.
