Go Travel Fins

£43.00 RRP £51.00 In Stock

Brand: Scubapro

Model: Go Travel Fins

The Scubapro Go Travel Fins are a light weight pair of travel fins made from a tough monoprene® with all the benefits of an open heel fin with the comfort and freedom of a full foot fin. The adjustable bungee heel strap fits a great range of sizes whilst making it easy to put on and take off.

Compact

Designed for travel the Go Fins weigh 1.5kg for a pair and they are small enough to easily fit in IATA carry-on luggage so you can really pack light. Ready to go at a moments notice the Go fins can fit in most small bags but still have the power and efficiency of larger fins.

Tough

100% Monoprene® construction doesn't have any joins or hinges which makes them very tough and hard wearing. The monoprene is soft enough in the foot pocket to wear them bare foot or with a pair of neoprene socks when the water gets colder.

Power Bars on the underside of the blade prevent the blade from flexing too much to maintain a 25° blade angle and a perfect angle of attach when finning. A central power panel provides longitudinal rigidity and channels water to the tip of the fin propelling you through the water.

Features

25-degree pre-angled blade

Ultra-strong 100 percent Monprene®

Fins fit easily in IATA carry-on compliant luggage

Hook and hole in the tip for easy storage

FeatureProduct Specification
Blade Type
?
Advances in design, materials and manufacturing techniques has allowed the development of various differenet types of fin blades which control the movement of water in different ways.

More advanced blades, including split and hinged blades, can dramatically increase efficiency, helping to improve propulsion but also lower the amount of energy required to operate the fins. Close.

Fin Weight (Pair kg)

Foot Type
?
Fins are available in two fitting types, open heel and full foot pocket.

Open Heel are typically used for scuba diving as they are able to provide better propulsion due to their increased strength and weight.

Full Foot Pocket fins are usually worn by snorkellers who produce significantly less drag when moving through the water compared to a scuba diver. As a result the fins are generally smaller and much lighter. Close.
Open Heel
Quick Release Buckle
?
Quick release buckles aid fitting and removal of the fins by allowing rapid fitting and release of the fin strap.

Rather than having to loosen the fin strap off before pulling it over your heel to remove the fin, the quick release buckle allows you to disconnect the strap and slide your foot straight out. Close.
No
Strap Type
?
A number of different fin strap styles can now by found on fins including the traditional adjustable rubber strap, metal spring straps and also bungee straps.

Rubber straps can be easily adjusted to suit each individual diver and are typically fitted with quick release buckles.

Spring and bungee straps are generally not adjustable and are sized to suit the fin size, however, they offer an extra level of comfort and flex better during the kick motion. Close.

Fins for big feet...

I would rather send a review of all the stuff I bought from this company. The fins are excellent after the first, different, pair were sent back, too small in largest size for my awkward 12.5s, very wide, and one huge bunion! These fins are great, good fit, easier to slip on and off than some, no adjustments to make. It helps that the booties I use have a 'ledge' to keep the fins on, and I never feel squashed into the foot envelope. All the gear I have sourced from Simply Scuba has been excellent, and the service has been brilliant too. I phoned 2 or 3 times to talk about this and that and the two lovely people I spoke with couldn't have been more helpful. Sam, and ? afriad I can't remember, but a young-sounding woman, both so patient with this old fella, getting back into the water after a long, long gap, my, ahem, 'shape' having changed somewhat, so advice on sizings was essential. I am used to sizing for mountaineering activities where outright size isn't so critical.

Thanks again for all the help. My only - not even criticism, as I understand why - quibble is paying for returns, though this is not a deal-breaker as it isn't that much. With all wetsuit-related sizings being so critical, buying two of this and that and sending back the ones that don't fit is fairly normal, and if it was a physical shop you had to go back to to return mis-fits there would be fuel and parking to factor in, though you would probably have tried everything in the shop... Swings and wotnots.
