The Hollis F1 Yellow Tip Fins are a super tough pair of vented fins for the demanding diver with high-vis yellow tips so you can be seen and identified easily. The Hollis F1 are a true balance between ease of use, power and toughness with a decent weight for drysuit diving or those with light feet. Made from a high grade, heavy-duty rubber material they are built to last and can be seen all over British dive sites.

Who's the F1 For?

F1 Bat fins are made for divers who need a strong fin that can take a lot of abuse but also want to be seen. Most vented fins are matte black but these have been made with a bright yellow tip so your buddy and other divers can see you and identify you better in the water.

Vented Blade removes the drag effect just in front of the foot pocket during the down kick and angles it for forward propulsion, simultaneously reducing drag and improving performance. This makes for a very efficient kick cycle, perfect for scissor or frog kick.

Yellow Tip is moulded into the main section of the fin so they set as a single piece with no delicate join. The high visibility yellow stands out in low visibility or low light conditions so you can be seen easily when leading.

Angled Spring Straps provide improved comfort and increased power and have a large angled loop for quick and easy donning. Each side has two adjustments to tighten or loosen the heel strap for a custom fit. A generous foot pocket has plenty of space for a drysuit boot and is easy to get on and off.

Blade Type
?
Advances in design, materials and manufacturing techniques has allowed the development of various differenet types of fin blades which control the movement of water in different ways. More advanced blades, including split and hinged blades, can dramatically increase efficiency, helping to improve propulsion but also lower the amount of energy required to operate the finsClose

Heel Type
?
Fins are available in two fitting types, open heel and full foot pocket. Open Heel are typically used for scuba diving as they are able to provide better propulsion due to their increased strength and weight. Full Foot Pocket fins are usually worn by snorkellers who produce significantly less drag when moving through the water compared to a scuba diver. As a result the fins are generally smaller and much lighter.Close
Open Heel
Strap Type
?
A number of different fin strap styles can now by found on fins including the traditional adjustable rubber strap, metal spring straps and also bungee straps. Rubber straps can be easily adjusted to suit each individual diver and are typically fitted with quick release buckles. Spring and bungee straps are generally not adjustable and are sized to suit the fin size, however, they offer an extra level of comfort and flex better during the kick motionClose
