Please note: This item cannot be shipped outside the European Union - learn moreThe Venom ARC mask further increases clarity, sharpness and light transmittance by coating the Ultraclear Schott Superwite glass with an Anti-Reflective Coating (ARC).
It has a internal frame moulded into the silicone skirt for strength, a higher bridge and tear-drop shape which are characteristics of the Subframe mask with the low profile and single pane lens of the Frameless mask. The strap adjustment buckles are fixed directly to the silicone allowing for easy storage and increased flexibility and comfort.
The biggest difference from the other masks in the Atomic range is that the lens glass has been pushed up another step on the clarity scale. Instead of the already superior Ultraclear glass used in the Subframe and Frameless masks, the Venom uses a German glass called Schott Superwite which allows even more light to penetrate into the mask.
The anti-reflective coating reduces reflected light and actually increases the amount of available light transmitted to the diver's eyes. The coating is a multi layer metal oxide coating process that is applied to both sides of the ultraclear lens. The result is clearer, crisper vision with improved contrast and clarity

| Frame ? Masks are available with either an external (Frame) or internal (Frameless) which gives the mask it's structural strength.
Somes advantages of an external frame design are replacement of parts as the mask can usually be dismantled into its component parts and some manufacturers offer off the shelf corrective lenses which can be retro fitted.
The advantages of a frameless design are that the mask is usually of a lower profile (less internal volume) which masks clearing easier, the skirt wraps around the internal frame providing a more flexible seamless finish and the overall weight of the mask is reduced.Close | Semi-Frame |

Single lens masks provide a more open vision as the frame between the centre of the eyes is removed, this also typically results in a lower profile mask.

| Skirt Material ? The skirt is the seal around your face that stops the water from getting in. Cheaper masks will just have a Thermoplastic that will do the job but harden over time and discolour if left in the sun. Most are Silicone that are soft, create an effective seal and don't discolour quickly. Worst mask I've owned
Hi,
I brought this mask with me on my last holiday to Cape Verde, completely ruined 2 dives because of the constant leaking.
2 of the dive masters tested it on as well and it leaked, they thought there was a design issue with the skirt around the nose making it constantly break the seal, luckily they had a mask I could borrow.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this one, not sure why this is a "Staff pick"
if I could return it I would, if I can't I have one for sale if anyone is interested.
Mine has the markings 17 - 6 inside the skirt.

ATOMIC Venom ARC Mask
This is a well constructed mask, you can visual see this and feel it when its on. While it's on it is comfortable and the glass gives your crystal Clear Vision. It's easy to adjust the straps even in the water. The straps off great grip and comfort with it split back design. I mask I would highly recommend. Would be 5 star if it was £20 cheaper.

excellent mask
excellent mask, very well made, used for about 100 dives now and love it. coating is very tough and has not scratched. wish they would do a clear frame version too.
