Simply Scuba Dive Site Review: Giannis D, Egypt

Video transcript: Hi guys and welcome to Giannis D. Giannis D sunk in 1983, and she sits in about 28 metres of water. The bow and the stern section are separated, and everything in between is just mangled and flattened. The stern section is where everything happens and is still mostly intact, and you can still penetrate the engine room and go down the two different levels, but it is dark so you will need to take a torch. Have a swim through the wheelhouse and take a nice picture of your buddies on the outside of you swimming through, but just be aware that Giannis D sits at 45 degrees on her port side, so it can be very disorientating until you get your eye in. There’s plenty to see on Giannis D, so even if you don’t want to go inside the wreck, you can still have a nice time on the outside looking at all of its different features. There’s plenty to see on the outside of Giannis D, so even if you don’t want to go inside, especially because it’s down at 28 metres, it’s in recreational limits. You can spend a lot of time just swimming around the outside, which makes Giannis D perfect for beginner divers all the way up to advanced divers.   If you enjoyed this video, check out our other dive site review videos including the CarnaticGota Abu Ramada, and more.
