New Zealand Diving Rocks! March 20, 2018 by lukesheppard

Are you looking for your next diving adventure? then how about New Zealand or more specific Waiheke Island, Its a stunning little island that is just 35 mins from Auckland by ferry.

The diving is lovely, the rocky temperate climate means lots of kelp reefs with life ranging from seahorses and pipefish up to stingrays, eagle rays and a healthy (but elusive) shark population.

We are happy to recommend a little ‘resort style’ diving center called Waiheke Dive & Snorkel as it is managed by our friend and ex colleague Adam Whatton.

Since leaving Simply Scuba Adam has been to Malta to work for Maltaqua as an Instructor where he had a great time and racked up over 650 dives in 10 months. From there he then he went to NZ, worked as an instructor there, before becoming Manager at NZ’s biggest dive store and training center.

Adam is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor and also hold certifications from BSAC, TDI & GUE.  Along with his partner Pippa who is a PADI DM, and a BSAC Sports Diver they now run Waiheke Dive & Snorkel.
