New Training Lake Opens At Andark

Divers in the South of the UK will be pleased to hear that Andark has announced the official opening date of 29th March for their new scuba diving training lake in Lower Swanwick. The purpose built facility includes heated changing rooms and showers, a small onsite shop/cafe, a classroom and the training lake which measures approximately 75m x 45m with a maximum depth of 7m. The lake currently has a few points of interest with plans to add more in the future and also convenient training platforms.

To coincide with the opening Andark has organised a presentation from John Bantin on Sharks and the Maldives following his recent trip aboard the MV Virgo in the Maldives. Entry to the talk is free for those that would like to attend but space is limited so you will need to book a spot early via the contact details below. The opening weekend will also see a promotional offer on the PADI DSMB Speciality Course which teaches essential skills to deploy and use both surface marker buoys and delayed surface marker buoys. The course is being offered at an incredible price of £35 for both Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th March which offers a huge saving of £80 off the

normal price.

The following weekend Suunto will be on site with their current range of dive computers as well as the Finnsub range of dive lights and wings that they now distribute in the UK for the Czech manufacturer. You will be able to ask the experts any questions you may have about their products, borrow the kit for a dive and be in with a chance of winning the loaned item via their competition.

All diving sessions must be booked in advance either via emailing [email protected] or calling 01489 581755 before 29th March and ask for Jo and 01489 885811 after the 29th March. The lake will initially be open for diving Wednesday to Sunday between 8:45am and 4:30pm and entry fees are £15 for non members and £12 for members.
