Those that keep up to date with GoPro via any of their news feeds will know that a new version of the Hero3 Black and Silver editions have been announced and stock imminently available. The GoPro Hero3+ Black and GoPro Hero3+ Silver are smaller and more powerful than their predecessors making them even more versatile and mountable than ever before. So what has been improved? It is different for the two versions but here are essential changes found in the new models: Black Edition

• Smaller – 20% smaller and lighter to be exact
• Superview video modes – Even wider viewing angle
• Auto low light mode – Intelligently controls frame rates based on lighting conditions to enhance low light performance
• Sharper, clearer and less distortion – A new lens increases sharpness by 33% and there is also a 2x reduction of imaging artifacts
• Audio – Hardware tweeks improve the audio quality and also reduce wind noise
• Longer battery life – The battery life has been increased by up to 30% for even more footage
• Wifi improvements – Connectivity speeds to the GoPro app have been increased. The 4 second lag is now near non-existent.

  Silver Edition

• Smaller – 15% smaller and lighter
• Processing – The new Hero3+ Silver is twice as powerful
• Video – The extra power allows video recording in 1080p at 60fps, 960p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps
• Low light – The new sensor is a significant improvement over the predecessor giveing better low light performance
• Sharper, clearer and less distortion – A new lens is sharper and there is also a 3x reduction of imaging artifacts
• Audio – Hardware tweeks improve the audio quality and also reduce wind noise
• Longer battery life – The battery life has been increased by up to 30% for even more footage
• Wifi improvements – Connectivity speeds to the GoPro app have been increased. The 4 second lag is now near non-existent.
