Egypt could be an ideal location for holidaymakers planning to get involved in some underwater adventures this summer. The Red Sea resort of Taba Heights, which is well-known for its beautiful beaches and coral reefs, is offering a diverse array of attractions for visitors. According to resort instructor Waterworld, those interested in scuba diving and other aquatic activities can take advantage of crystal clear waters, gentle currents and shallow dives.
Those trying out such activities for the first time can benefit from the ‘Discover the Red Sea’ half-day package and a full-day PADI Open Water course. Nicola Osgerby, assistant operations manager of Red Sea Waterworld, said: “We strive to make our first-time divers feel as comfortable as possible in the water and so many people – ranging from eight to 88 – immediately come back for more.” Another scheme, being conducted in collaboration with National Geographic, will enable budding scuba fans to gather more information about protecting the underwater environment and the rare creatures that live in the Red Sea.
