Easyjet Launches New Egypt Route May 14, 2010 by lukesheppard
Easyjet has marked the launch of its new Manchester-Sharm el Sheikh route by giving a young scuba diver the opportunity to turn professional. The budget carrier is to sponsor Marc Oliver Williams, giving him free return trips to the diving hotspot so he can work towards a PADI Divemaster qualification. Ali Gyward, the airline’s commercial manager, said: “We’re excited to be operating yet another new route from Manchester and what better way to celebrate making a top diving spot more accessible to the North West than helping a local scuba diver to achieve his dream of becoming a dive professional?” The company offers three weekly services to the Egyptian resort, with a favourable exchange rate making the destination one of the most popular this year. EasyJet also recently introduced direct flights to Zurich, Switzerland and Mahon from Manchester.
