Twin cylinders require twinning bands to hold them together and twinning bolts to bolt them onto your backplate. If you're diving on a Helium mix you need an independent drysuit inflation system because Helium has a poor thermal capacity and you don't want to waste any breathing gas on buoyancy. Butt plates add extra mounting points below the small of your back to clip off stages or lift bags or anything you might need for the dive.
