The OceanREEF Octo Port Adapter is a simple adaptor so that you can fit an octo as a redundant backup to your IDM as a second air source so you don't have to bailout if your primary fails. Most major brand 2nd stages will have either a Small or Medium mouthpiece connector so just remove the mouthpiece and connect it to this adaptor so the 2nd stage can fit one of the ports on your IDM.
If you dive an OceanREEF Full Face Mask but don't like the thought of bailing out and switching to a conventional mask and octo then the OctoPort Adaptor is for you. It screws into one of the ports on your mask and you can attach most octos to it so you effectively can breathe from either and both 2nd stages at the same time.
If you really want redundancy then you can connect the octo to a separate cylinder for a completely isolated setup that you can switch it on when you need to if something fails.
