Removeable integrated weight pockets on the waist band get you the choice or where your lead is located. A tough external shell on the BCD bladder protects the internal damage from wear and tear in and out of the water.
The Atlas is adjustable so you can adjust the breathing in the water. The purge button on the front is pivoting for better control of a purge. High airflow ports and environmental sealing ensure you get plenty of gas at all times with minimal ice formation.
Who's the XR Rec Ice For?
The Rec Ice is a heavy weight BCD for diving in cold water where you need a lot of trim weight to compensate for added buoyancy. With the 6mm steel Backplate and steel hardware the Rec Ice weighs in at 7.3kg so you don't need to carry as much lead on your belt. The one-size-fits-all harness gives you better control of the length of each strap and location of hardware for a custom Backplate setup for exactly what you need.

The XR-Rec Ice single Backmount Set is the perfect companion for all cold water technical divers. To increase the durability of this backmount set, Mares ihas replaced all the aluminium components of the first version with stainless steel. The stainless steel back plate allows for double tank strap configuration while the stainless steel D-rings and buckles increase strength and offer a unique look. To improve comfort during the dive, Mares has included back padding and shoulder protection. The XR-Rec Ice also includes two removable side weight pockets with D-rings. These optional pockets close with VELCRO® Brand closures and one pocket is extendable for storing accessories. Available in one size, this set allows divers to create a customised fit thanks to the fully adjustable harness.
