The Mares XR Heavy Light Complete Mount System combines the pure harness with the 3mm Aluminium Backplate.
Harness
A single-piece DIR webbing harness for your backplate & wing set-up without any breaks. A single piece of 2" webbing measuring 3.5m long with a centre hole and grommet threads through your backplate to your exact measurements. D-Rings, tri-slides, waist buckle and crotch strap are all included to complete your harness.
Backplate
6061 marine grade anodised aluminium alloy is lightweight and corrosion resistant but still tough enough to hold it's shape with twins. Great for a light weight travel system to mount twins or a secure single cylinder thanks to it's flexible mounting options and multiple fixing points around the backplate for mounting accessories and a sidemount buttplate

Keep it simple with a single piece webbing harness with stainless steel parts has no breaks to reduce failure points without any excess parts. Tried and tested DIR setup has been working for years in the exploration community since the 80's.

The Light Backmount Set is made up by a sturdy and durable harness, including a crotch and equipped with a marine stainless steel D-ring. It is mounted on an aluminum backrest, proving perfect for transport. The Light Backmount Set is the complete harness including a 6061 marine anodized aluminum backrest. The configuration is compliant with Hogartian canons.
