Stretch Pockets
Most pockets on BCDs are rigid and unforgiving so you can only fit thin flat objects inside them. Mares have changed this with their stretch material pockets that mould around your equipment so you can fit almost anything inside them.
Slide & Lock Weights
Integrated weights on either side of the BCD are held in place with the secure Slide Lock System, SLS, which provides a reassuring grip on your weights and a reliable quick release button in the ergonomic handle.

I recently tested the Quantum and the Dragon BCD's on holiday, Both we're huge improvements' over my previous BCD. In the end I decided to go with the Quantum BCD as in the water I couldn't see or feel how the Dragon is supposed to benefit me over this model, so the Quantum is where I put my money. It's £60 cheaper and just as fun and easy to dive in!

As a new diver I took a lot of advice and tried different BCDs during training and pleasure dives. Initially it was how the BCD looked that first attracted me, then having dived with a buddy who had one my mind was made up. I have not used it in the water yet, diving next weekend, but im sure it wont disappoint. The quality is excellent, great fit and plenty of good features, especially the SLS weight system. The rear trim packets are great for tweaking your trim in the water (as I am told) Simply Scuba once again came up trumps and allowed me to reserve one after full payment as these babies were flying out of stock, many thanks guys!

Purchased my Quantum last year after reading almost every review I could fine. I am an Open Water Diver who at that time had about 30 logged dives . I wanted a Safe , easy to use and comfortable BCD . The Quantum ticks all my boxes , really comfortable to put on and wear , easy to hold any position in the water and the SLS integrated weights work really well, especially when disengaging them in the water prior to entering a rib . I have used my Quantum for over 60 dives now and had no issues with it in any way. I really like the high lift position it holds you in on the surface when waiting for boat collection. Its like floating in a comfortable arm chair. The stretch pockets will hold my reel , spare line reel and 2 smbs . and a spare mask if you really fill them up fully. I am 14 stone in weight , 5 foot 9 inches and a stocky guy and the Medium fits perfect , it is a good fit with loads of adjustment. I dived last week in the Red Sea and used 6kg of weight in total whist wearing a 3mm full wet suit and a 2.5mm shorty underneath . 2 kg in each side pocket and 1kg in each of the rear trim pockets . Worked for me. I would recommend this BCD for anyone from beginner to Experienced diver . Love it.

This is my first BCD, fits very well, comfy and good adjustment in all the straps. Plenty of d rings and good size stretchy pockets. Low Pressure hose is plenty long enough to reach my 1st stage regulator comfortably.
