The reel is light, compact and works well. You need to take care when closing the rewind lever as the plastic is prone to bending. Orientate the lever properly and it goes back in neatly get it 180 degrees wrong and I think it is likely to break. Goo

This reel is small enough to fit in my BCD pocket. Have not had a chance to try it in open water yet but seems easy enough to use.

Not used on a dive, but played with it. Nice and small, a bit plasticy and I'm thinking i could snap the handle. As a backup or buddy reel, this could be ideal though.

I bought this because my other reel (McMahon Large) is enormous and I wanted something that would easily fit in a pocket. Obviously there is no ratchet, but this is nice and compact, so you can forget it's there. I think this one is ok for an emer
