Dive Knives

A dive knife is an essential safety tool that a diver carries just in case the need may arise to cut through an entanglement. Knives and tools come in a range of styles which each have their pros and cons. The traditional style dive knife is a good all-rounder that can cut through both thick and thin lines but can be clumsy for the modern divers needs. Line cutters and smaller knives have become the norm as you don't need a huge knife to cut through some fishing line or netting. Line cutters are safer and efficient at cutting through thin lines but can struggle to cut through thick ropes. Look for the blade material, marine grade Steel is corrosion resistant but not proof so you do have to keep it clean and dry to prevent rust. Titanium may be more expensive to begin with but works out cheaper in the long run as it requires very little maintenance as it can't rust but titanium also has other benefits as it is lighter and stronger than steel but still holds a good edge.
