Dive Computer’s are what we would call an essential item. They are constantly monitoring your depth and time to work out how long you can stay in the water without having to refer to those confusing tables. The main thing they do is allow divers to extend their bottom time and increase their safety underwater. We have a selection from some of the top names in scuba diving, including Apeks, Aqualung, Suunto, Shearwater, Garmin & more. There are several variations of dive computer, console-mounted, wrist-mounted, ACW advanced computer watch (essentially a wrist watch-sized dive computer). Wireless integrated scuba computers send tank pressure data wirelessly to your computer. All modern dive computers are now Nitrox compatible and come with Bluetooth wireless technology, which will pair with your mobile device in the most remote locations. The great advantage of having air data is your computer can calculate your breathing rate, so it can monitor how long your air will last but also how hard you are breathing so can adjust your bottom time based on your nitrogen loading. Generally, it is accepted that digital dive instruments are accurate within 1%, whereas an analogue instrument would be plus or minus 10%.
