The high-quality liquid filled Suunto SK-7 has set a new standard for dive compasses. The device features 2-3 times larger tilt potential than in conventional diving compasses and provides easy-to-read numerals.

The superior SK-7 has an exceptional tilt potential of +/-30°, which is 2-3 times larger than in conventional diving compasses. The firm-grip bezel with a ratchet at every fifth degree is especially designed to prevent sand and dirt contamination, thus allowing smooth turning in all conditions.

My first and only compass to date

My first and only compass to date. Fantastic and easy to use under water, especially with the side port for viewing. Only downside is the strap which isn't much use at all, I quickly got a deep sea supplies bungee mount and they work great. Alternatively keep the Suunto boot, remove the strap and replace with x2 bungee loops. Highly recommended.

I have tried several compasses

I have tried several compasses - this is undoubtedly the most reliable and least troublesome of them all. I do prefer to use this compass with the Suunto retractor as opposed to using it on the wrist. It's a shame Suunto don't offer this as a package.

Chunky,easy to read. Strap fastening is a little odd but secure. Long to fit over a thick wetsuit or drysuit.

Good compass with bright luminescence. I can see the numbers on the silver dial rubbing off after time - they should be embossed in the bezel.

Very good compass

Very good compass. No problems at all with lock ups. Strap can be a bit awkward due to the retaining lug but only a small issue. Highly recommended!

Great compass

Great compass. Huge tilt potential, disk is very responsive but moves so smoothly! Really great compass. Also strap - some people don't like it, but IMO strap is perfect. Very simple for one hand fastening, reliable clip and quite durable over all. Oh, side window is very large too - one of the larges I've ever seen.

Part of the number 180 on the card is slightly faded' but is still legible and not really worth complaining about. Otherwise product seems excellent, especially card tilt, though haven't been in water with it yet.

I think this compass is a great bit of kit...

I think this compass is a great bit of kit ,well made ,stylish,and a great tilt facility so it doen,t have to be truley level .people talk of it having a fiddley strap but i found once you put it on and off a few times you realise it,s quite a unique and clever design

This was one of my best buys with excellent price and delivery. This is an easy to use piece of kit and like many others will be ditching the strap to clip on my BCD.

Nice Robust & easy to see and use. Can be tilted quite a lot and still not jam. As mentioned above, strapt is hard to adjust. nonetheless, still give full mark.

I use the SK

I use the SK-7 in combination with the Suunto Rectractor, attached to my BCD. Great handling, tilt potential is extraordinarily high. Just the direction indicators at the bezel give me the impression of diving an "approximate" course. But then again maybe I shouldn't compare it with a sailboat's compass ;-)

The compass itself is excellent

The compass itself is excellent, with very clear readings and it can be used with a tilt of up to 30 degrees, which is important. The strap however is poor. It's difficult to secure, especially when wearing gloves! Replace the strap with two loops of bungee and this becomes an excellent product. As ever, the service from SimplyScuba was excellent.

I bought this for my daughter who was thrilled with it. I on the other hand, thought it looked bulky to wear for everyday use, but as my daughter will use it underwater when she dives, it'll look brilliant and accessorise well with her wet suit! It is very easy to read with a clear view face, and excellent value for money, well packaged and quickly despatched.
