I am very pleased with this item as I lost the original plug that was supplied with my octopus and the fact that I can also use the item to clip the octopus to my BCD makes it very cool and useful. I look forward to using it on my next dive.

One came free with my octopus

One came free with my octopus. Liked it so much I'm getting another to keep my second stage off the ground/stood on etc. Octopus did fall out 4th dive though - so I'm wondering if it gets loosened with wear?

Fantastic!!! Best Ocutpus Holder ive seen yet. Easy to see Easy to use. Secures octopus very well yet gives you the ability to access your octpous with no fuss. Wouldnt use any other!

OK for shore dives where your gear is well under...

OK for shore dives where your gear is well under control however it is flimsy and octopus falls out at the slightest touch. On boat dives or dives where you are working you will need something more robust.

Not a bad bit of kit

Not a bad bit of kit, but a bit flimsy - plus, for some regulators it's a bit awkward to clip it on. Overall not bad but could do with being a bit better built. I used it with a retractor reel which is a really nice solution for getting your octopus out of the way.

Used day and night, salt and fresh and not one complaint. A very useful piece of kit and simple to use.

I wasn't going to post a reveiw but the reviews of this tiny bit of plastic seems to be becoming forum on diving kit. From the reveiws it looks like this is like Marmite - you either love it or hate it. Personally I likeMarmite!!

Yep, used mine in Belize last week and the alternate (scubapro) kept dropping out of it, made me check it every few minutes after that. I'm gonna try it again next time, maybe use an o-ring or elastic band to keep the jaws together, but I don't want to make it too secure for obvious reasons.

Looks a good idea but come the real world - the plug isn't effective and the clips can get dislodged at which point its a bother to refit underwater - it ends up being something to think about rather than to forget

I saw one on holiday and thought that it was fantastic. However it doesn't fit an Aqualung octopus very well and is very fiddly to release if you do manage to fit it. I've gone back to my old holder.

The octopus can be fixed into this so it won't come out, but only if you do it in the right way. You must take care to clip it around the rubber part of the mouthpiece (near the mouth bit), not over the clip which joins the mouthpiece to the regulator. It is now in so firmly that to get it out you need to push one of the arms of the clip aside as you pull the second stage, which, perhaps is a little fiddly in an emergency, but i suppose you can't have it both ways!

I thought this was useless. It was tricky to get your octopus in it and then it just kept falling out!

I used it on 1 dive and it worked great...

I used it on 1 dive and it worked great I found it so easy to use I would recomend it to everyone.

A load of rubbish

A load of rubbish, got one with a SP reg that I bought and I threw it away after one dive - Have better things to do than fiddle with a bit of plastic trying to get it in the mouth piece - Stick with a standard clip and save your money.

 The best octopus holder I've seen or used. Nice bright colour, it puts the octopus where you need it and also keeps out sand and silt so you don't get a mouthful or have expensive repair bills.

Absolute waste of money

Absolute waste of money - used it for the first time at Stoney yesterday - too fiddly with gloves on and didn't even hold octopus through a buddy check!! Do not buy.

Best I've tried. Doesn't destroy your mouthpiece, holds tight, keeps some of the dirt away... You'll have to pull straight down to release your stage - "front pull" is NOT enough...

Cant believe that these aren

Cant believe that these aren't more popular. Compared with the awkward "mouthpiece is stuffed in here" types, or the usual surgical tape these are elegant and simple to use.
