I love how effective it is in keeping the water...

I love how effective it is in keeping the water out of the snorkel. But the one minus is that it keeps falling off the mask! This is my second Oceanic Ultradry buy as my previous one fell off where I couldn't retrieve it.

Very dry snorkel

Very dry snorkel, the mechanism works well and never once let water in. Very comfortable to use. Very pleased with this.

This really IS a very dry snorkel

This really IS a very dry snorkel. I'm confident breathing through it in choppy seas and the surf zone. My only criticisms are that the quick detach connector is overly complicated and a potential point of failure and that the inhalation meets resistance - others have described it as being like a rebreather in this respect. I wouldn't like to be breathing through it whilst really exerting myself, fighting a current etc. Otherwise brilliant. I've just bought another one for a visitor I have coming up.

great snorkel and it was lovely not to have the...

great snorkel and it was lovely not to have the worry of the sea coming down the snorkel during rougher conditions, worked a treat and allowed me to enjoy the surroundings without worry.

Great snorkel

Great snorkel, purchased this and the oceanic mini (for the wife)... will be using them for a trip to the Caribbean in two weeks. Can't wait to use them. Also, have to say customer service was fantastic - changed my order last minute with no fuss at all. Delivered on time; 10 out of 10!

Bought for my 10year old daughter

Bought for my 10year old daughter, she has real problems clearing some snorkels, but like it says it doenst fill with water, no problems clearing!!! amazing!

brilliant

brilliant, have just started to snorkel but have always been quiet a timid swimmer, read about this snorkel, bought it and it is brilliant it did what it said stopped any water getting in, once in the whole week the value got stuck, but a good hard blow released it. very flexible and easy on the mouth. a great buy.

Being new to diving I decided to rely on my...

Being new to diving I decided to rely on my girlfriend's recommendation. She insisited I buy the Ultradry. I did. She was right! Incredibly easy to breathe through and exactly as it says in the title - Ultradry! Plus it is a beautiful looking bit of kit! There are cheaper out there, but I would suggest throwing your money at this! Brilliant!!!

Best I have used. Was fed up with choking on salt water with other snorkels. If I loose it or damage it I will certainly go for same kind again.

This is such a unique snorkel

This is such a unique snorkel- i'm so happy with mine the mechanism at the top kept all the water out which meant you could swim down to the bottom and come back up without having to blow the water out- meaning you don't miss a fish!

Managed to close the valve while inhaling the first time but that was hardly a practical test. (It does seal very well when closed though, that's for sure) Looks and feels like a quality product. Maybe a bit larger than I expected.

Was really impressed once i'd gotten used to it - at first thought it was a bit of an effort to breathe through as the end is not completely open like cheap snorkels. You get what you pay for and preferred to breathe a bit heavier than get mouthfuls of water every five minutes. Used it with the Oceanic shadow mask in small size. Ace!

I never used to find snorkelling a particularly pleasurable experience due to water entering it and having to blow it out but after buying this snorkel it's pleasure all the way. Didn't leak at all and complimented the Oceanic Shadow mask I bought. Highly recommend this snorkel.

I was getting fed up of breathing 'water' so I bought one of the Ultra Dry Snorkels. I just wish I had bought one ages ago!! I now breath 'dry air' - 10 out of 10

Excellent snorkel

Excellent snorkel. Great on surface keeping water out in choppy conditions. Easy to clear and breaths great. Mouth piece comfortable for long periods of time helped by very flexible corrigated section. Looks good and the yellow ones I bought can be clearly seen at the surface from a long way off. Only reason for not giving it 10 out of 10 is they are a little fragile. First one got broken in post. SimplyScuba did fantastic job of sending out replacement straight away so that I had it for my holiday. Excellent service. Thank you

Excellent snorkel

Excellent snorkel, especially in choppy conditions off shore. Just used it in the Maldives on reefs and off shore where it didn't let me down. Does look and feel fragile and would want to drop it

Just like the ones we used as kids, with the ping-pong balls in, a friend said. Not far out really, but they never looked as posey as this bit of kit. Highly logoed and easthetically pleasing, as much fashion-statement as air-tube, but it works well, flexi-tube keeping it out of the way, dry valve doing its job (perhaps wouldn't cope with a simple bit of seaweed though? Time will tell). OK, just don't lose it or drop it - it's a great piece of design!

Very comfortable

Very comfortable, easy breath & keeps water out well. Excellent if only the clip was as good as the rest of the snorkel - Lost mine on the 3rd dive. Not such good value after all !

Very dry, but personally would prefer rigid tube as opposed to flexible and the fixing clip to the masks strap would preferably be more positive and tigter to prevent it sliding along the strap.

As a rule

As a rule, I hate snorkles. Annoying and in the way. This one is a dream and flexible enough to tuck out of the way of everything else once you switch to a reg. Good value and totally unfailing. Impressed.

Excellent snorkel, really does stop the water from coming in, fantastic! Some people saying it is fragile but really as long as you look after your equipment this is well worth the money :o)

dropped it once

dropped it once(about 2 foot) and the uldra dry valve at the top broke.It is made of very thin plastic which is inside the housing,so it was just the shock of the fall that caused it to break.Very disappointed.

The wave protector works very well and it does indeed stay dry in use! The valve on the base of the mouth piece is excellent for clearing the tube with little effort. A good, effective snorkel, well worth the money.

Excellent snorkel, breaths well and lets no water in. Pity it fell off my mask strap 3 times in 15 dives! 3rd time I lost it. They need to sort that out!!!
