I bought this torch to replace a very well liked...

I bought this torch to replace a very well liked Suunto that has finally died. It's a fair lump, weighing around 2kg with the LED head, but it's tough enough to knock nails in with, stand on it in a RIB and it will be your foot that comes off second best! Performance wise it proved a little embarrassing the first time I used it on a night dive, it was so bright on full power I sometimes put my hand over the front to let other people see by their own torch light instead of burning them out from 20m away. the lowest power setting is very ample for almost every situation. It lasted for two dives without dropping the power down, so it has plenty of juice in reserve. I have the halogen head as well but have yet to try it, the LED head being just so good! The beam is slightly blue and gives an even spread without an obvious hotspot, very nice!! Highly recommended.
