The Ultra Nova underwater torch is a battery operated, ultra bright LED dive torch that provides 220 lumens of light and is waterproof to 400 metres. The Intova Ultra Nova is a larger model than other hand held torches but this gives it a solid feel and is more comfortable to hold. A concentrated beam provides a long range of illumination and this Intova underwater torch has 3 modes including reduced power and a strobe function.

Compared to some other torches I

Compared to some other torches I've seen used by divers this is pretty bright. It's fairly lightweight, good quality and looks smart too. Not too big either. And it's at the cheaper end of the scale as far as dive torches go I think. I'm happy with this product and would recommend

Torch is very easy to grip

Torch is very easy to grip, even with cold hands through 5mm neoprene. Sturdy construction and not too heavy. It gives a good focused beam for shedding light into deep crevices and caves, though it isn't very wide so avoid if you want a floodlight.

Have been using this torch all week for night dives

Have been using this torch all week for night dives, for wreck dives and for looking in holes in the rock etc. It gives a good bright central beam as well as a decent spread of light. Size makes it easy to hold in gloves, switch is easy to use. Generally good value for money. Very happy with the product and the service.

Fantastic torch

Fantastic torch - I haven't tried it on a night dive yet but tested during a couple of day dives where condition weren't hugely sunny and we were quite deep, it excelled. Very bright, light and small enough to easily fit into a BCD pocket. Great for exploring those nooks and crannies and pointing to stuff when a finger wont suffice!

Excellent product

Excellent product, very happy with this torch, would have been complete if it had a strobe effect for signalling...but I really recommend it for other divers.

I doubt there is another torch out there this good...

I doubt there is another torch out there this good for the same price. It has a strong defined beam that really penetrates and stands up against much larger and more expensive torches.

Great torch

Great torch! Very bright even at depth, tried it at 33m for its first dive and could see a lot and at good distance too. Very defined beam, looks cool in pictures! No leaks or problems but I did grease up the pair of o-rings as a precaution when putting the batteries in. Really solid to hold and feels like its built to last.

Robust well built and at its price with 220...

Robust well built and at its price with 220 lumens i would recomend this item to anyone looking for a decent back up torch. Note add a bit of silicone grease to the screw in back before use as a safeguard. Although slightly larger in size than expected for a secondary back up torch (hence the 9 and not a 10 Rating) i can't fault this product.

was going to give a lower rating as mine flooded on first dive but bought the same for my partner and it was a very sturdy and very bright torch. Perfect primary torch for holidays. Happy to replace with same item

Great piece of kit

Great piece of kit, really bright torch and the option to have it on full beam or half beam is great. Batteries last FOREVER!!

Firstly thanks again to simply scuba for another great example of customer satisfaction. The torch itself is fantastic. Good quality, nicely weighted with a simple push on off switch. Tried it on Sunday for the first time and wasn't disappointed. For the price I don't think you can buy better.

Excellent performance and value

Excellent performance and value. This light is really bright, with a very penetrating, focussed white beam. It outshone the competition on a recent wreck dive. It's comfortable in the hand, and makes a great primary torch.

HOW BRIGHT

HOW BRIGHT!!! this has got to be the brightest torch i own, even brighter than my gun lamp. and the batteries last forever
