Named after the oval shape of the front cover, the ellipical prfile of the Cressi Ellipse Octopus allows a much more compact second stage to be produced. Using a number of advanced components inlcuding a folding diaphragm, specially designed lever and a tilting piston, Cressi was able to create a very high performing second stage.
A flow deviation lever on the top of the second stage control the direct of air fllow within the housing. In the negative position air is directed back towards the diaphragm, helping force the diaphragm out and close the valve. In the positive position the effect is reversed with air directed straight to the mouthpiece creating a vacuum behind the diaphragm, helping to keep the valve open.
The octopus is supplied with a 100cm yellow low pressure hose and yellow front cover for improved visibility in an emergency.
