The Apeks DS4 is an extremely reliable cold water first stage. A workhorse for the Apek XTX 40 & 50 regulators its diaphragm design, balanced system and environmental seal provide a greta performing regulator that is very well respected within the diving community.

 

The DS4 first stage provides 4 low pressure and one high pressure port making them a great choice for expanding into twinset or redundant system configurations. A polished chrome plating helps to protect the unit from damage.

 

Please note that Apeks fit the Nitrox version with the new dedicated M26 cylinder fitting.

Superb reg

Superb reg, I have two DS4's on DIN for use with my twinsets, and one with A clamp for singles. all work perfectly in all conditions

Industry standard for O2 delivery on tech rigs

Industry standard for O2 delivery on tech rigs, using mine on a self build re-breather...enough said. Simply scuba gave fast delivery and are excellent to communicate with, any problems , just pick up the phone and its sorted.

an excellent first stage, deliverys more than enough air, gives a good hose routing and is compact, does everything a good reg should and well.

I have several rigged for diving doubles and my new...

I have several rigged for diving doubles and my new one is rigged for singles. My winter diving is usually in water down to 42 F., I'll let you do the math for Celcius, and I've never had a problem with cold water. One of the easiest breathing regulators I've owned. For me, the hose routing couldn't be better. Using the DIR standard I find the hoses route down and across leaving the isolation manifold valve very accessible. Ordering from Simply Scuba to the US was very easy also.

This first stage has proved more than capable of delivering...

This first stage has proved more than capable of delivering enough air to satisify the most demanding needs. We have had two people breathing off this at the same time at 40m with a water temperature of 5 degrees. no problems. As a reasonably small and light sealed first stage this has performed very well and has a reasonably good port configuration.

 I purchased two of these with 2 tx50s to use...

 I purchased two of these with 2 tx50s to use with doubles. Only grip I have about these 1st stages is the hose routing.
