This Underwater Kinetics Lantern is the C4 eled, a handheld lantern which can provide light for up to 15.8 hours diving. The Underwater Kinetics C4 eLED features 2 lighting modes, one high one low, which allows you to vary the light and beam that you need. The lightweight style makes the C4 ideal for the diver who travels.

It's early days but this does what it says on the tin. I like my dive lights chunky and well built so that they can cope with rough handling on dive trips. So far this light has done the job and survived two days UK boat diving. The pistol grip style works well for me and the LED gives a bright light. I've not gone through the set of batteries that came with it yet (nice touch there) so can't comment on battery life beyond saying it's already given me ~4 hours underwater. The safety lock feature on the switch is useful to stop you accidentally burning batteries, so overall I'm pleased. I'm not entirely convinced by the 'heat dissipator' bit of plastic that sticks out the middle of the torch lens - that looks like a prime candidate for breakage, but we'll see how it goes. Hopefully this torch will last longer than its predecessor from another manufacturer.

Ive used this torch on a few night dives in...

Ive used this torch on a few night dives in the UAE & I think it is a very good bit of kit, A nice size "chunky"..with a fair amount of light under the waves too..Ive had no problems with mine so far!!!!.

Hi Phil and thanks for your question. The repalcement light units are certainly available from Underwater Kinetics I don't have an exact price list, as they're not usually something we carry in stock. However, I know that from past experience the LED unit costs very nearly as much as a new torch. I can certainly find out an exact price, but i'd expect less than 10% difference from buying a whole new torch. Kind regards
