Information on the Suunto Dive Manager - Serial

Suunto Dive Manager (SDM) from Suunto is a premium tool for recording, organizing and retrieving dive information from your Suunto dive computer. The program allows easy retrieval and printing of data, creation of dive graphs and addition of notes to the logbook.

The large memory capacity of Suunto dive computers allows you to transfer data such as dive profile, dive time, maximum depth, temperature and air consumption directly to your PC. You can also enter dive locations, buddy names, equipment and other comments just as you would with a conventional paper log.

The simulation function helps you gain greater understanding of decompression theory and computer-assisted multi level diving. It enables you make the most of your Suunto dive computer and is an invaluable aid for instruction.

Data can also be uploaded to Suunto's online diving community at suuntosports.com, where you can share information and experiences with other divers from around the world.

The Suunto Dive Manager- Serial is compatible with the Mosquito, Stinger, Cobra2, Cobra, Vytec DS, Vytec, Vyper2, Vyper, Spyder, Eon Lux, Eon and the complete Solution range.

If you have a Suunto D9, Suunto D6, Suunto D4, Suunto D3, you will need a Suunto Dive Manager USB which can also be used with the Mosquito, Stinger, Cobra2, Cobra, Vytec DS, Vytec, Vyper2, Vyper, Spyder, Eon Lux, Eon and the complete Solution range.

  • VGA video with at least 640 x 480 resolution (Super VGA video 800 x 600 or higher resolution recommended)
  • 40 MB free hard disk capacity
  • Serial port or serial/USB adapter

Review I couldn't get it to work, and it seems ridiculous that Suunto supply something that does not have USB Connectivity.

Review Not as easy to use as a USB IR interface, but then if you have a Solution or an Eon, this is what you need! However, you'll also need a PC with serial ports or a serial to USB converter and some understanding of Coms Ports to set it up.

Review This should go to a USB port not a serial port, i know they have an adaptor, but it costs and serial ports were phased out over 4 years ago and the cd didn't contain the drivers required, had to get the latest version from the suunto web site.

Review No problem with this product except that the software is a little out of date - but newer version can be downloaded for free from Suunto website) and Serial Cable is also a little out of date with laptops no longer having a serial plugs - which means that one needs a Serial to USB converter cable as well.

Review Given todays modern standards that cannot be many PC or laptops with serial connections, progress to a full USB connection would seem the right choice. Product is a definite no for Win Vista and Suunto are at their most unhelpful in resolving system conflicts.

Our standard delivery charge is set at £2.95. The method of delivery is based on the weight of your order and the delivery country that you choose.

Express delivery starts at £4.95 as this is a couriered delivery but it does allow you to specify your preferred delivery time and date.

Under distance selling regulations you may cancel your order by returning any item up to 7 days from the day after delivery however we extend this for your convenience so any item may be returned for any reason within 28 days from the date of despatch for a full refund (less postage costs), as long as it remains unused and in as new condition with all packaging and labels intact.
