This is the first dive computer I've owned (although I've borrowed others during guide dives) and I have to say I'm reasonably pleased with it. I've done about 10 dives with it, and so far it's been very straightforward to use (With air, just hop in the water and it does everything automatically) and it also looks pretty nice. The screen is legible, and the backlight works well, if you need it. The included USB cable is very handy for backing up all the dives to the Suunto DM5 software, which is nice for looking at profiles of the dives. I also have the transmitter, which means I can quickly glance at the watch and see remaining bar and NDL in one go. Something to be aware of is Suunto have the ascent rate set to 10m/min, rather than PADI's 18m/min. If you go over 10m/min then the watch gives you a compulsory 1 min stop at 5m, in addition to the 3 minute safety stop. My only complaint would be the volume of the beeps. The low risk double beep is very easy to miss, such as when you go over 10m/min for a moment, and you only notice this happened when you see you've been given a mandatory stop. Overall, I'm very pleased with the watch.
