Info on the Scubapro Air 2 - 4th Generation

The Scubapro Air2 combines the benefits of the scubapro balanced inflator and a second stage into one handy unit. The Air2 allows a diver to dispense with the need of a seperate octopus, donating your primary second stage to a victim and swapping to the Air2.

The controls are perfectly placed for easy adjustment of your buoyancy even whilst the Air2 is being used as an air source with large inflated and deflate buttons as well as a purge button on the bottom to clear the regulator of water and debris.

Features

  • single hose configuration eliminates the need for a separate alternate air source.
  • fixed VIVA flow vane for safe and uncomplicated use
  • one-hand operation for instinctive and simple operation
  • the self-flushing mechanism requires just one push on the purge to clear away all dirt

Have had a 2nd gen for years and wanted same kit for a travel rig. Much lighter but works exactly like the original - great piece of kit and lighter for flying kit. Bit of a fight fitting it to cressi flex bcd since hose diameter very narrow but goes on with some fairy liquid and elbow grease.

Get rid of your octopus and use one of these...
Get rid of your octopus and use one of these instead; much more sensible - mouthpiece falls into place much more naturally if your trying to grab it in an emergency. You ill endure a lot less clutter around your person. A must for wreck or overhead diving. This device will make you more self-reliant and therefore a safer diver to others. It is much more difficult for a panicking diver to snatch this one away from you. My only criticism; given its ethos (emergency use) why isn't it in dayglo?
