Info on the Oceanic OC1 Dive Computer

The Oceanic OC1 is a full decompression, watch sized dive computer with digital compass, wireless air integration, dot matrix display and dual algorithm support.

The benefits of having the choice between two algorithms over one is that the OC1 allows divers to choose a decompression model to suit the type of diving they do. The OC1 caters for both repetitive, multi-level diving and also one off deep dives where maximum dive time is important. The Pelagic DSAT algorithm (upon which most dive computers and also the PADI RDP are based) is perfect for safely handling the same sort of dive profile day in, day out such as a week aboard a liveaboard. Pelagic Z+, however, maximises the dive time at depth without penalities. The added benefit of user changeable algorithms is that a buddy pair is able to dive to similar profiles no matter what your buddy is diving with.

Other features include a PC interface and download cable to transfer dive information and profile data to your computer for analysis, wireless air integration for easy monitoring of air supplies (up to three transmitters supported but not included), digital compass for convenient navigation, gas switching between up to three gases, optional deep stops, a huge list of configurable alarms and alerts.

Items must be unused and in an as new condition with all packaging and labels/tags attached. The latest date for returns is printed on your delivery note for clarification.

The Oc1 features a variable ascent rate alarm that will warn of rapid ascents. The units are easily changed on the computer using the menu system. The wireless transmitters can be found here http://www.simplyscuba.com/products/Oceanic/WirelessTransmitter.aspx

Hi Thank you for your e-mail. The easiest way to place an order and to detemine the costs/the postage costs to your destination is to add the items to your shopping basket online and select your delivery country from the drop down list (and currency if required). Can i recharge the battery by plugging the watch into the computer in the same manner than I recharge my Iphone? What is the life of the battery (if i used it as a watch with 6-10 dives a year) ? Thanks in advance Nigel

The Oceanic OC1 uses a standard flat cell battery and can not be recharged. The battery will usually last between 3 and 5 years depending on the amount of use but Oceanic advise that the battery is replaced every year to remain in the Lifetime warranty scheme. Under the lifetime warranty you would only pay the labour costs as the parts are supplied free of charge.
