Info on the Oceanic Islander II BCD

The new Islander 2 BCD is a lightweight BCD Jacket that is perfect for travel as it weighs only 6 pounds or 2.7kg perfect for popping in your suitcase. The Islander 2 has a clean and simple appearance but is packed full of features to provide comfort. ThisOceanic BCD has a low profile rear inflation bladder which provides minimum drag and its integrated weight system can accomodate up to 14 lbs. It has roomy pockets, adjustable chest strap and a padded backpack for great lumbar support.

  • Streamlined "Quick Drop" Weight Integration System; The weight pouches are much easier to load and even easier to release. Carries up to 14 pounds.
  • Cylinder Band Weight Pockets. Oceanic Cylinder Band Weight Pouches provide greater integrated weight capacity and better attitude underwater. Carries up to 10 non-dumpable pounds.
  • Comfort Rolled Neoprene Neck Collar
  • Carabiner Clips with 16 Attachment Points: Includes 2 carabiner clips with 16 attachment points for easy, one-handed accessory attachment.
  • Optional Integrated Retractor System; Built-in retractor attachment point - perfect for streamlining gauges, lights and other essentials. Retractor not included
  • Spinner Knife Mounting Grommets; Located on both the left and right pockets, a pair of stainless steel grommets keep the Spinner BC Knife out of the way but just where you want it. Knife not included.
  • Patented Depth-Compensating Adjustable Cummerbund. Oceanic's patented depth compensating cummerbund is manufactured from a unique woven elastic material that eliminates the need to readjust as your suit compresses at depth. Oceanic's cummerbund offers up to 8" of adjustment to fit a wide range of sizes. For additional customization, the cummerbund may be easily changed with another size.
  • Padded Backpack. Extra heavy duty padding provides comfort both above and below the surface without having to sacrifice the stability of a hard backpack.
  • Low-Profile Hard Backpack with Carry Handle and Cylinder Positioning Strap
  • Large Zippered Pockets so they're easy to get into and there's enough room to store your light, mask and pocket snorkel

We hope you will be completely satisfied with the Oceanic Islander II BCD purchased from Simply Scuba. However should you wish, you can return the Oceanic Islander II BCD for any reason within 28 days from the date of despatch for a full refund (less postage costs).

Items must be unused and in an as new condition with all packaging and labels/tags attached. The latest date for returns is printed on your delivery note for clarification.

I got the product from a local shop

I got the product from a local shop. I'm a regular user. After the initial struggle with the adjustments it was ok. The back strap for holding the tank is quite hard and a little difficult to adjust for small tanks(5L)if you use different sizes of tanks every time like a 5L tank for shore dives and 10L for boat dives. Apart from that I'm happy with it :)

Lovely BC

Lovely BC - feels like a dream both on the surface (trim with weights) and under water. Pockets aren't that big but big enough to carry small items.
