Info on the Mares Icon HD Air

The updated Mares Icon HD Air, also known as the Icon HD net ready, has all the same innovative features as the original Mares Icon HD but now supports wireless air integration (transmitter sold seperately).
 
The other features include a full colour display dive computer made with a LCD screen with Thin Film Transistor (TFT) technology combined with its Intuitive software, large characters and colour contrasts makes this computer incredibly easy to read. It has a logbook memory that allows you to store images, photos and digital maps of diving spots and offers a double diving option which then processes a full dive curve in real time.

I bought this as a present to myself before a...

I bought this as a present to myself before a diving holiday in India... it was very user friendly and I found myself able to quickly and confidently use it in a matter of minutes. The large display is brilliant, easily viewed underwater in any level of murk!! it was the subject of much discussion on the boat, I even fooled someone into believing that it received television underwater!!! I would agree with the other reviewer about the recharging unit, although I am not concerned about the pins breaking, rather me losing the attachment!! may order myself a replacement too.

The Computer has such a logical way of displaying all...

The Computer has such a logical way of displaying all the information, Mares have created a cracker! Battery charge is deff no concern, it used just 8% of its power during a 55 minute dive with the back light set to the "on all the time" setting. The compass also works very well & again Mares have spent time in making the way the info is displayed. I did a deco dive with it, as soon as I started my ascent the display split into two columns and gave me all the up coming stops including the deep stop, and deco stops. I have knocked off a point on its score as the USB clip that connects the icon to your computer or the charger is not the easiest item to fit & I am worried of braking one of the brass pins whilst fitting it or removing it. I have actualy ordered a spare just in case! as if it breaks you will not be able to charge the unit, PLEASE MARES, RE-DESIGN THIS PART!
