Info on the Fourth Element Halo 3D

The Halo 3D is an advanced undersuit for trilaminate and membrane drysuits and combines the knowledge of high performance fabrics and in depth understanding of physiology to provide a brilliant thermal undersuit for the most demanding of conditions. The Fourth Element Halo 3D is unique by using a Body Mapping to match different body areas to different thicknesses of insulation which provides warmth but minimises bulk in areas that need mobility. The Halo 3D undersuit is constructed from SpaceTek; a 3 dimensional material that resists compression and therefore provides a consistent 8mm layer of air which minimises heat loss.

Features

  • SpaceTek Compression Resistant Materials: This 3D material is panelled on the chest, torso, shoulders and thighs to provide constant air layer to minimise heat loss especially when the diver is in horizontal trim. Horizontal trim occurs when the diver is in a horizontal position and the air migrates to the back of the suit which increases pressure on the chest and heat is also lost to the water. Large muscle groups receive a good supply of blood but air migrates into the back of the suit which exposes the muscles to heat loss.
  • Enhanced Low Bulk Insulation: The forearm has been insulated to provide a warmer blood flow to hands. High density fleece layers have been applied to the crook of the elbow so that there is greater mobility. The kidney region has a larger flow of blood close to the skin surface and the Halo 3D features 2 additional layers of fleece to minimise heat loss to the environment in this area.
  • Pre-prepared holes for p-valve tubes
  • Zipped pocket on the arm for small items such as a key
  • Comfortable zip cover at neck
  • Double headed full length zipper for convenience and ease of donning
  • Elasticated waist portion to ensure close fit
  • Thumb loops keep sleeves in position while donning the drysuit

We hope you will be completely satisfied with the Fourth Element Halo 3D purchased from Simply Scuba. However should you wish, you can return the Fourth Element Halo 3D for any reason within 28 days from the date of despatch for a full refund (less postage costs).

Items must be unused and in an as new condition with all packaging and labels/tags attached. The latest date for returns is printed on your delivery note for clarification.

My limbs felt noticably colder in this undersuit than with...

My limbs felt noticably colder in this undersuit than with a weezle, however no thermal issues with the core. The delivery procedure was exemplary.

Great piece of kit

Great piece of kit. Very warm and comfortable. I’ve dive in Vobster over weekend water temp around 10C using Halo 3d with my trilaminate drysuit make my dive extremely comfortable and warm. Highly recommended for everyone that want to enjoy warm diving in cold water.

A very warm non

A very warm non-comprisable under-suit. I’ve found it to be a warm suit at depth as it doesn’t loose bulk and insulation under pressure. However, this comes at a cost as the suit is very buoyant I had to add over 4kg in weight to my belt after swapping from my old beaver thinsulate. That said, there is always a trade off between buoyancy and warmth and if you feel the cold like I do it is well worth sticking a few extra blocks of lead on your belt.
