Did It Myself Disaster

Before I bought this I had made my own

Before I bought this I had made my own, I wasn't able to source bolt clips locally at the time, so used carabiners - these utterly destroyed one of my gloves and as I couldn't get a jubilee clip the right length I had to join two shorter ones together, leaving the lumpty barrel part sticking into my wetsuit,now puncture with 5 holes. Whilst for what you get it seems a fair bit of money, this product is definitely worth it! Bolt snaps alone are about £8/£9 - I really wish I'd just bought one of these in the first place instead of trying to save a few pennies! I chose the larger of the two available bolt snaps (125mm) and they are very easy to use. Oh, one word of advise - DONT cut the jubilee clip shorter until after you've fed it through, I again thought I'd save myself a lot of screw driver turns by doing this - only to find it was near impossible to feed the severed end through afterwards...
