Info on the Apeks Flight Stage 4 Set - Pewter

The Apeks Flight Stage 4 set includes the pewter Flight regulator, Flight Octopus, and pewter double gauge. The Flight regulator was released in 2009 and is the lightest regulator in the world designed for travelling divers in waters down to 10 degrees. The double gauge includes a combined contents (pressure) gauge and depth gauge with a luminescent dial for easy reading. This gauge has metric measurements and can be used up to 360 bar and down to 70 metres. All components of the Flight Stage 4 set work seamlessly together.
Please note that this product is a pre-packaged set and does not come assembled. If you would like us to assemble the components then contact us once you have placed your order. You will be required to retain the original packaging in case of return.

I have only tried this out in a pool...

I have only tried this out in a pool (next dive trip in May), but everything was fine. Very light, 1st stage particularly light, but also reg, octopus and guage hose. Just wish I had seen the offer for Simplyscuba to assemble for me - maybe make this more obvious in the write-up? My dive shop wanted £25 to assemble, but I did it myself and it all seems good. ie, no adjustments or balancing needed, no need to take to a professional - a bit like 'plug and go' on computers! - always seems daunting to me, but actually was very simple! I used a bike spanner, as I had no 13 mm spanner in my tool kit. Excellent service from Simplyscuba - quick despatch, safe arrival, frequent email and texts to keep me informed of despatch and delivery day/time etc. Thank you!

I have now owned this for 12 months and taken...

I have now owned this for 12 months and taken it on 3 international dive trips - Thailand, Malta and Greece - a total of around 35 dives. I love it! Lightweight and compact so excellent for dive travel. It breathes beautifully and has been extremely comfortable to dive with. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow diving travellers! Unfortunately the depth gauge has packed up already - hence giving 8/10 rather than full marks - however I wanted to replace it with just a slimline pressure gauge instead. I see apeks make a matching single pressure gauge which I intend to buy for my next trip - it might be nice if this were offered as an option at original purchase.

We can advise that we are no longer able to supply a customer with the necessary form for reclaiming VAT unless the goods are purchased in person over the counter, due to new legislation brought in a few years ago now. Therefore, a customer would need to contact the HM Customs and Excise people who can advise them on obtaining the form. Hi Re Apeks flight, could I have a console just with a presure gauge (i.e. no depth gauge) and/or a pressure gague plus compass (again, no depth gauge - I have a dive computer). Would this affect the price? Also, are all the hoses miflex, or just the one to the second stage? Thanks Michael

Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. We can advise that you would need to place the order for the regs and octopus individually and add the gauge and compass product (for example Product Code 20502 ), as we are unable to modify the package as this is pre-built and sent in from the Supplier. We can confirm that the hoses are generally all Miflex hoses except for the gauge hoses. We hope this information assists. Thank you.
