The Buddy Explorer BCD has a shorter body length than other Buddy jackets and so will suit shorter customers but also women. The Explorer BCD has an extensive list of features such as great comfort thanks to the AP Valves comfort fit system which is composed of padding around shoulders but also a tailored harness for a great fit. The Explorer has been constructed from durable 1000 denier material with welded seams which should last a lifetime. Other features include reflective piping for improved visibility, a traditional weight belt with cargo clips included and large pockets with internal mesh gussets for quick drainage. This Explorer BCD comes with the integrated weight system upgrade which includes two weight pockets that can hold up to 5kg each and the auto air upgrade.

  • New element Comfort Fit System allows you to adjust to the finest degree at shoulders, waist and back plate. The removable harness offers the best tailored fit of any jacket on the market.
  • Anatomically contoured and fully padded throughout at shoulders, waist and back.
  • Unique stabilising cradle on the backpack eliminates tank roll and caters for different cylinder diameters and Twinset and Pony Cylinder Band upgrade options.
  • 2 rapid response Air Dump/over-pressure valves at kidney and shoulder with large easy-find pull-grips. The kidney grip is designed to float for easy location when diving head down while the shoulder grip is negatively buoyant and always to hand.
  • Third shoulder exhaust/over-pressure valve built into the inflator assembly.
  • Optional lightweight aluminium 232 bar mini-cylinder for emergency breathing and buoyancy. Please purchase upgrade separately.
  • A traditional weight belt with cargo clips to stow lift bags, SMB and torch.
  • Reflective piping for enhanced diver visibility.
  • Super Cam cylinder band grips the main cylinder for absolute security.
  • Twin Bag constructed from 1000 denier Endura FX100 outer shell material and a PU airtight inner bladder with Lifetime Warranty on the HF welded seams.
  • Patented Stud System construction protects the buoyancy bladder by transferring the main stresses to the tough outer shell. The system also allows rapid flow of air around the jacket allowing the diver to move freely underwater unhindered by trapped air pockets.
  • Spacious Side Pockets sealed with snag-free 10mm Zips
  • Pockets feature internal 35mm D rings and mesh gussets for rapid drainage.
  • Super-strong 50mm side release catches at shoulders and waist for simple and rapid donning and doffing of kit
  • Ergonomic solid-grip carry handle.
  • Strobe or Snorkel attachment point at the shoulder.
  • Foldaway mini-cylinder pouch at rear.
  • Foldaway SMB pouch at rear.
  • Foldaway hose runners for efficient equipment management.
  • Expandable gusset structure ensures the buoyancy cell inflates away from the body minimising squeeze.
  • 4 welded stainless D rings with the 2 at the shoulders pre-bent to 30 degrees to stand off the jacket for easy location and attachment.
  • Rapid Release System Integrated Weights with a unique and secure mechanical locking system (+ve lock with audible click). The weight pouches hold up to 5kg each providing a total of 10kg and feature sturdy easy-grip release handles.
