Choosing Prescription Masks

What is a prescription goggle?

Have your gauges gone fuzzy? Struggling to read your dive computer? Then a prescription mask is for you.

A prescription mask is a mask fitted with prescription lenses, this allows people who would normally wear glasses or contact lenses to see clearly underwater.

What we can offer

We can offer prescription dive masks in a range of strengths to suit most people. We offer positive and negative prescriptions and bifocals. Bifocals are great for people who are long sighted and just struggle to view their gauges.

The lenses we supply are not the stick on type, they are complete replacements for the current lenses. We can therefore only supply these on a select few masks.

What masks are available?

We have a great range of masks available which you can see in our prescription masks department. Over the years the TUSA Platina has become the mask of choice for those who need prescription masks as it’s really the best in class.

How to buy

A prescription mask actually comes in 3 pieces, the mask and 2 separate lenses. For instance if you were buying a TUSA Platina mask, you would need the mask, a left lens and a right lens. If you look at any mask in the prescription masks department you will see they also have the lenses below the main image of the product.

What is your prescription?

Our prescriptions are shown as -1.5 to -8.0 on negative lenses and +1.0 to +4.5 on positive lenses. This measurement is the sphere part of your prescription. To find out your sphere you will have to consult your optician.

What prescriptions do we offer?

We offer the following levels of prescription:

*available on selected masks only.

Fitting the lenses

If you buy a complete mask with 2 lenses (or even just 1 lens) we will fit the lenses for you before sending the mask out.

However if you already have a mask that we have lenses available for and wish to fit them yourself here is a simple video showing how to fit the lenses yourself.
