Having learnt to dive with Simply Scuba some years ago, Nick
promptly set off around the world to make the most of his new found
skills. Finally returning to his roots after working as an
instructor in South-East Asia the Caribbean and most recently
working as Expedition Base Manager on a marine research and
conservation expedition in the Sub Indian Ocean.
Nick has now taken on the role of running
the dive school for Simply Scuba, arranging trips and courses. As a
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Nick is responsible for the day to
day running of the dive school and undertakes the majority of the
Open Water, Advanced Open Water
and Speciality dive training at the centre.

Trainer
Affectionately known to his friends as Bear, Dave is a PADI
Master Scuba Diver Trainer. With his good nature and patient
approach, Dave makes the perfect assistant when looking after our
future divers.
Specialising in our taster sessions Dave has years of experience
in putting your mind at rest if it is the first step and you are a
little nervous.
Pete
PADI IDC Staff Instructor
An old face around Simply Scuba, Pete is a full-time Fireman in
the Kent Fire Rescue Service and a Swift Water Rescue Instructor for
the emergency services. As an IDC (Instructor Development Course)
Staff Instructor Pete concentrates most of his efforts on developing
the next generation of Assistant Instructors that come through the
school as well as running what we believe to be the best PADI Rescue
Diver course in the South East.
Pete learnt to dive with Simply Scuba back
in 2000 and has been a solid and valued member of the team ever
since. A highly accomplished diver in UK waters, Pete is a regular
visitor to some of his favorite international dive sites in the Red
Sea, the Maldives and the wrecks of the Mediterranean. With
instructor ratings in Dry Suit Diving, Deep
Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy,
Enriched Air Nitrox and a Tec Rec Gas
Blender Instructor, Emergency FirstResponse and DAN Oxygen Provider.
Gerrard

Advanced Instructor
As a Master Instructor & BSAC Advanced Instructor and founder
of Simply Scuba, Gerrard continues to be an inspiration to the staff
and students here at the school. Having learnt to dive in the Cayman
Islands back in 1993, he has never looked back. Returning to his job
in the City Gerrard promptly resigned and set off on his quest to
make scuba diving his life.
After continuing his dive training in the UK Gerrard went to the
United States to the world famous Pro Dive USA in Florida to
undertake his instructor training and then on to work in Malta.
Gerrard returned home to set up Simply Scuba Dive School in
1995 and it has continued to grow from strength to strength under
his watchful eye and passion for giving a safe and quality service.
