Dive Cylinder Refills

At our Faversham shop we offer compressed air cylinder refills, so please feel free to bring in your cylinder for a refill before you go diving. We can also refill the majority of air tanks used for air guns (provided you have the correct adapters). Here is some information on what we offer and common questions:

What pressures can you fill to?

We can fill cylinders to either 232 or 300 bar as these are standard pressures for diving cylinders.

Is your air filtered?

Yes, we have a double filtration system which means the air you will be breathing is safe and moisture free.

How much does a fill cost?

The standard price for air fills are £5.00 for 232 Bar and £6.00 for 300 Bar fills. Divers producing valid dive certification of ID cards qualify for a 50% off their air fill costs (£2.50 for 232 Bar and £3.00 for 300 Bar)

What are the requirements for having my cylinder filled?

The cylinder must have a current valid certificate of compliance. If you bought the cylinder from new the cylinder is compliant for two and a half years from the date of MANUFACTURE for diving use or five years for 'surface use only' cylinders.

After this period the cylinder must have been tested every two and half years for diving cylinders and five years for 'surface use only' cylinders. Surface use only cylinders MUST to permanently marked to state that they are not used in water.

What if my cylinder isn't in test?

If your cylinder doesn't have a current test stamp then unfortunately we cannot fill it until the cylinder has been tested and meets the requirements.

We can arrange for your cylinder to be tested but please note that this can often take between one and two weeks to complete.

There are no exceptions to this rule, if the the cylinder is out of it's test period we will not fill it. We also reserve the right to refuse to fill any cylinders we deem to be unsafe.
