Excellerating Force Fins are adaptable for optional Force Wings (pictured with Whiskers), which allow you to control the way the water works for you. When positioned parallel to your direction of travel, they stabilize and track your fin. When rotated inward, they accelerate water to the center and behind you, similar to the way in which water accelerates as it travels through a gorge.
