theres so much more you wish to see, you have the air left in your
cylinder but not the bottom time, so what can you do?

COURSE OUTLINE
|

The course consists of independent academic
study, video presentation and academic discussion, an exam and
practical application session plus two open water training dives.
The course normally runs over two days,
plus independent learning.
During the academic and presentation
sections of the course topics covered will include;-
- Advantages and Disadvantages of Diving with Enriched
Air.
- Equipment for Enriched Air Diving.
- Using the RDP with Enriched Air.
- Managing Oxygen Exposure.
- Special Applications in Enriched Air Diving.
- Diving Emergencies and Enriched Air.
During the practical Application session
students will cover verification procedures, use of Oxygen analysis
for Enriched Air Cylinders, maximum allowable variants in blends and
administrative record keeping.
These sessions are followed by two Open
Water Dives for which students will be required to demonstrate
practical application of all aspects of the knowledge and skills
covered in the Theory part of the course, plus demonstrate correct
diving protocols and skills commensurate with holding an Enriched
Air Qualification.

COURSE

When you sign up for the course and pay your
deposit you will be issued with your course manual, which you use in
your independent learning prior to day 1 at Simply Scuba. You should
have read the manual and completed all quizzes and knowledge reviews
contained within the manual before the first formal training session
at the dive centre.
Day 1
- Upon arrival you will receive a safety briefing and orientation to the
dive centre. This will be followed by an introduction to the course
and an overview of what to expect and whats expected of you. This
will be followed by a video
presentation and a review of the manual and its knowledge
reviews. This is followed by a discussion covering the key points of
diving with Enriched Air and
the checks and responsibilities involved in its use. Students then
partake in a practical session
learning to analyse enriched air mixes etc. This completed there is
a final exam which must be
passed before the student can continue to the Open Water segment of
the course.
Day 2 - Starts at the dive centre
where students prepare for the days diving before travel to the
designated dive site for two open water dives. Upon successful
completion of these dives its back to Simply Scuba Dive Centre for
de-kitting, dive review and final certification application and
course administration.

Planner use and Skills extensively, students must be familiar with

*Participants under 16 years must be
accompanied on the course by a suitably qualified parent or legal
guardian.
Like all training courses where certain
levels of performance are required to pass it is important to
realize that you must reach the required levels of proficiency for
each aspect of the course in order for the instructor to certify
you, (just like on a driving test). If you fail to achieve the
required standards we will endeavor to give you the opportunity for
further training, however this would incur additional cost.

The PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Course
is part of the PADI Diver Continuing Education Program, designed to
encourage divers to further their Knowledge and Skills under the
safe supervision of professional instructors. It combines well with
other such courses such as the PADI Peak
