Review Basically a decent torch and not too expensive but I've had a few issues. When diving from rocks especially in big swell it is easy to catch and loosen the lens cover and let in water, it needs a locking mechanism. My reflector melted and I'm told that this is because it was used on land, you can't use it out of the water.

Review Excellent value and fantastic beam, really makes a big difference to underwater views in my locality (Firth of Forth).I like the negative bouyancy as it`s little brother was opposite and always ended up floating around my face.(Glad it blew up, don`t know why)Don`t use dimmer setting much but is handy for camera work where flash is too bright. All in all well worth buying

Review This is a great torch! It's quite heavy, and slightly bigger than its predecessor the UK800. The switch between low/high beams is very useful not just to save on batteries, and for redundancy, but also in scattered waters where you don't actually want to be shining 30W around. I had the lantern grip on the UK800 already, so I went for that immediately, as I find a few fingers only will keep the torch near whereas the pistol handle requires the hand's "full attention". I dive around the south and south west of England, and find I do not have to recharge the torch for a 4-dives diving weekend. (with the torch off when unused, and using beams as needed, none of it feeling constraining though) Basically the most robust, and the cheapest, you can get if you're tight on budget but won't give up on brightness! (like me!)

Review Used to have a UKD4 but flooded it then converted it to D size rechargeable batteries they recently exploded. Whenever I used the D4 torch I always felt everyone else had better torches and it seems most had D8s. Having now used it for one weekend I have to admit it is really good and the price is the cheapest you can get believe me I tried. I looked at other makes but just felt they were a lot more expensive but couldnt really see the benefits Can only agree with previous comments. Yes it is heavy but its worth it
