Mares Carbon 42 Regulator

The Carbon 42 Regulator from Mares has a second stage made from 100% carbon which makes it 65% lighter than a metal second stage but still with maximum thermal conductivity. This makes the Carbon 42 ideal for diving in particularly cold waters.

• Dynamic flow control minimises the intermediate pressure drop during inhalation, making it possible to use a simpler and more reliable second stage.
• Vortex assisted design conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low pressure area in center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.
• A mesh Grid reduces the pressure of water flowing onto the second stage diaphragm and minimizes free-flow.
• Suitable for use in extreme cold water.
• Fluid Dynamic Deflector is engineered to receive and properly direct the airflow from the by-pass tube to the mouthpiece to deliver natural and effortless breathing.
• Superflex Hose provides exceptional softness and is extremely light weight which guarantees the maximum freedom of movement.

Q -   Is it possible to put an 'a clamp adaptor' on the din valve so its works on either tanks? Mares 42 Carbon regulator thanks, Jane A -   Hi, If you purchase the cylinder from our store then the valve does both 232 bar A Clamp and Din. However if you purchase a 300 Din cylinder then the valve will only do Din. You can convert from Din to A Clamp, but not the other way round.
